With simple ingredients, you can make delicious cakes. Without eggs, milk and butter, delicious chocolate cake can be made at home.

If you usually make cakes, you have to mix flour, sugar, eggs and butter. But this cake can be made without relying on eggs and butter. These two ingredients can be replaced with water.

You only need to prepare six dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, vanilla, oil, water, sugar and cocoa powder. Eggless cakes and milk can be an alternative for vegetarians and also people who are allergic to milk. This recipe was shared by Andrea Soranidis, popularly known as Petite Cook.

To make this magic cake, you can make a mixture of wet ingredients like water and oil. Then in a separate container can mix dry ingredients such as flour, baking soda, sugar and cocoa powder. These two ingredients are then mixed and stirred slowly.

Oil and water can replace the function of eggs and butter. Although the taste is not tasty, but this cake is still soft like a cake in general.

Andrea explained that he made this cake while undergoing quarantine at his home. He wants to share cake recipes so that everyone can make simple cakes at their homes with makeshift ingredients at home.

“All supermarkets have a shortage of ingredients, I think it would be very helpful if I distributed cake recipes that can be made without eggs, butter or milk. Hopefully this cake can help people have fun while cooking at home,” Andrea said.

This cake recipe can also be made according to their respective creations. You can add nuts, chocolate chips, dried fruit and various other ingredients. This ripe cake can even be stored for 5 days in an airtight container so that it can be a food stock.

If you make it in large quantities, you can share with relatives or neighbors. Pack the cake in a tightly closed container then send it to the door of a neighbor’s house without making physical contact. The period of self-isolation can be a fun activity even with all its limitations.

380 ml of water
80 ml of extra virgin or olive oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
370 gr all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
240 gr sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa powder

How to make
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Mix olive oil, water and vanilla extract, stir until smooth.
3. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar and cocoa powder. Mix well.
4. Pour the mixture of water and oil into the flour mixture and stir gently until smooth and fluffy.
5. Pour the cake mixture into the pan and bake for 40 minutes until cooked.
6. Remove the cake then remove from the pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
